My ankle is healed

Hi everyone, it has been forever since I have been here and I am sorry for that. Having a broken ankle and a sore arm, shoulder, hip and knee all on the same side, does not leave much time for crafting. I have soooo much that I want to get done this week, but a person can only do so much. What has me in the biggest fix, is that I dont get paid till the 22nd. So I have not been out shopping at all and it is all left till than. Thank God that this is a 5 week paycheck instead of just a 4 weeker.

I have lots of freebies that I want to share with you all that I have been working on, but until today have not been able to share because I just found my book with all my passwords and such in and I couldnt get to 4 shared or even here to post with out them. talking about misplacing things. hmm. So I will find them, get pictures of them and upload them as soon as possible so that you still might be able to use some of them.

Hugs and God Bless

Ps... Facebook and Farmville are very addicting so if you want to get any crafting done stay away from there. lol.

Christmas is coming ...

Hi Everyone, alittle over a week-ago I posted on the Cricutlovers group for someone to help me with a tag that I had made using my Design Studio and Plantin cartridge, and due to an unfortunate accident (I broke my tibia bone in my ankle and have been home bound, upstairs bound, no stairs in other words for about 4-6 weeks. ) Any how, I had one of those 4 in the morning, gotta make it creative spurts and I made a cut file for a Christmas tag, but since my DS was upstairs on my computer, that my Wonderful hubby brought upstairs for me so that I would not be bored, and my Cricut which was downstairs (wouldn't fit on my table with my computer) I could not cut it. I got 2 Wonderful ladies saying that they would give it a shot. I gave them what I was invisioning, and the cut file and let them know that they could cut it to their vision once they saw the cut file. The first gal, Cathy Smith, for some reason could not open the file. Said something about the time and date not being valid. (I remember this being discussed on the group but I dont remember what the fix was, so unfortunately I could not help her with that. But I thank her very much for trying. Huge Hugs going her way.

Another Great gal did also reply and her name is Deanna Mulder. She was able to open up the file. Even though she did not cut it in the colors that I had imagined, she did cut it in the way that she saw it when she saw the cut file. And I am so VERY Glad that she did. Because I would never have thought of it. I will be sending her a little gift of appreciation when I am able to get it finished and mailed to her. This was a First for both of us. She told me that she doesn't normally cut other peoples cuts, and it was a First for me too, as I dont usually ask for help. But I wanted to see it cut so bad. :o) and she did a Beautiful job. Proud is not really the word that I am looking for it works though, and very Thankful as well for her stepping up and doing this for me when I couldn't. So Thank You Deanna I don't know how to say it enough. I love the job you did. Of course the picture is above, I love it too.
Oh and of course you may want to take alook at some of the other work that Deanna does she has a Wonderful Blog and you can find it Here
You may find the Cut File Here with the wonderful tag cut by Deanna.
Thanks so much Deanna.

I have been losing weight as the food that we get to eat is Very healthy for a change and I am Constantly on the go. Which is why I am crashing then when I get home. But I am having fun this year and it is a great group of people to work with and the Kids or I should say Students are great too to work with.
I am also sharing the file with you, hope some of you might be able to use it.

ATC Trading Card Envelope -George

I am running out of Ideas for envelopes... but now we all have one for about everything, except fo the Purse card that I need to get sent to my sister for her birthday. I am going to have to figure something out for it too. hmmm...
Anyhow.. was blog hopping again, and found a site with ATC trading cards, then went to another site, Mirkwood designs... looked at the template that they had and created it in Design Studio using the George Cartridge... Sorry... I think that I am stuck on George... you will still have to cut it out using an expressions, as it goes beyond the lines for the baby Cricut. It took 4 tries to get it big enough.
Here is the link:

But hope you enjoy, let me know what you think.

Another Envelope Made with George Cut on the Expressions

This time I made a 5x7 inch Envelope for those of us that make bigger cards than just the A2 size. Since i liked the design of my other envelope so much. I made one the same but of course bigger so that it fit. Second try worked this time. First one would have but I accidentially deleted the file. Ooops.. so I had to start over. Again, I love the fit of the envelope.

I would really love to hear from those of you downloading my files. There are some awesome gals that do every time they download somthing. But for having 20o + download the A2 envelope I think I had 4 responses. You may leave me a message here, let me know what you think or on 4shared. just takes a second to say thank you.
I love creating for you all, but I like to know what you think too.

3 Size Flower .cut File George

Before I started into making .cut files I made alot of digital scrapbooking things... and I was thinking, well why not try and make some of the digital images into .cut files. So ... here is my first attempt. This flower I have made in 3 sizes for you. I use the George cartridge to design it, but I am not sure if the baby Cricut people can cut the large one as it goes all the way to the edges. I have been cutting everything with my Expressions.

But here it is.

Hope you like it.

Scalloped Border .Cut Files George and WIMG

I think that these scalloped borders is what someone on Cricutlovers was looking for though not really sure. For the life of me I could not get the Expressions to cut it a full 12 inches long. But I did come up with these three that I do like. The First 2 are done with Only the George Cartridge. The last one in the picture I also used the Walk In My Garden Cartridge for the half circle cut.

I hope that you like them too.

Please let me know what you think.

Happy Birthday Like Stamp - but not a Stamp

... here is the link for the page of Happy Birthday circle things that I did...

http://www.4shared.com/file/112234843/eed72c6e/Happy_Birthday.html

I wanted them so that I could have centers to flowers, or centers to those circular cuts on the Storybook cartridge... but for the life of me I could Not get the dang things lined up so that I could cut them with the Cricut, cause I did Want them to be bigger. I created them using my Paint Shop Pro 8 program, as I was trying to use an actual stamp that I had but I could not get it centered either and kept on wasting too many centers that I had cut out... so on to my different resources...

So I am sharing with you... these, just hopefully not my frustrations too.. lol.

Hugs and God Bless
Dana
Ps.. sorry do not have a picture of them.

Ties For Dad

With Fathers Day coming up and my FIL's birthday being two days before Fathers Day, I had to come up with a Birthday Card plus a Fathers Day card, and get one sent out to my dad as well.

I have been working on this for a couple days... trying to come up with some ideas... well I do have a card for my dad, that is under my jumble here somewhere but right now, I don't want to search for. It is really cool and simple it says on the outside, F is for Father and on the inside it says, And I am Glad you are Mine. I dont have any special cut for it, just done with the Story Book cartridge and some paper scraps, but I really like how it turned out. I will post a picture of it, when I clean off my desk again tomarrow.

I am terrible when I get started, everything has to be in its place, but during the process it always turns into something terribly different, then I walk away from it till next time and clean it up again, and then start all over.

Any how... as for the Birthday Card for my FIL, it could also be for any other type of day, just attach a different saying... the image is called Ties for Dad... I saw a stamped card like it when I was out Blog hopping and wanted a cut file like it and this is what I came up with.
Now my FIL does not wear ties at all, I have never actually seen him in a tie, so this is not really his kind of thing, but it is the card that he will get. lol. Now for my dad, in another life time it seems he did wear ties, but not any longer.
For some reason, I always start off with a large one, the file that I am going to share with you has a large tie, some bow ties, a medium set of ties, and then some small ties. The small ties are what I used for this card. Here is the link. Hope you enjoy. Please leave some love if you download. And Please remember, my files are for Personal use only.

Smaller Version of Pocket Watch - Walk In My Garden cart

Well the last one was Huge, took up almost a whole 12x12 piece of paper, though it would be great for a scrap page. But just a little too big for invitations, such as what Donna wanted ot for... So... I came up with this. I even like it much better. It is made with the Walk in My Garden cartridge.

to download the .cut file.
A few final directions too... The clock face is stamped, I think that they are Stampin Up stamps.
the circles in the center of the chain I made using my handheld hole punch. And I adhered them with a mini glue dot. They are almost as small as the mini glue dots.
Hope you enjoy.
